House League is where York Mills players learn, compete and have fun. Teams are carefully balanced for fair games, and regular skills sessions help every player improve. All skill levels are welcome.

All House League play follows the YMHC General Rules & Information.

The top two teams in each division from U9 to U18 play for the title on Championship Day. Teams qualify through the playoff round robin; regular season results don’t count.

April 12, 2026 at Mitchell Field Community Centre, 89 Church Avenue, North York.

Respect in Sport: at least one parent or guardian of every player must complete the Respect in Sport Parent Program before their child can take part in any on-ice activity.

1 Friend Rule: each player may request one friend as a teammate, and both players must request each other. This keeps teams balanced and encourages new friendships.

Full hockey equipment is required:

  • Helmet and cage
  • Neck guard
  • Shoulder pads
  • Elbow pads
  • Gloves
  • Hockey pants
  • Jock or jill
  • Shin pads
  • Skates
  • Hockey stick
  • Mouth guard (recommended)

YMHC provides a jersey and socks. New skates don’t come sharpened, so get them sharpened before the first skate.
